is 'LEELOK', the Art Preacher, A Filipino Visual Artist
Ruelson Bruce F. Lee, a.k.a. 'LEELOK', 'the Art Preacher' is a Filipino visual artist born in Cotabato, Philippines. "LE3LOK" or "LEELOK" is derived from the Filipino word, "lilok" which means, to carve or sculpt.
He finished his Bachelor in Fine Arts major in Advertising (BFA) degree at the University of the East College of Fine Arts, Architecture & Design in 1995. Worked as a designer/graphic artist in corporate entities such as Sterling Paper, Crimson Shirts, REBISCO, and Regent Foods Corporation before pursuing his calling as a Minister of the Gospel in 2003.
He earned his Master in Ministry at the All Nations College of Ministry and Mission (ANCMM) in Antipolo City, year 2013. Also has a Graduate Diploma in Theological Studies at the Alliance Graduate School (AGS, formerly Alliance Biblical Seminary) in Quezon City, year 2007. He is an Ordained Minister under the PhilFLOCK Ministry, Inc. (PFMI) and presently serving as the Senior Pastor of the Christ’s FLOCK Discipleship Center (CFDC) which he pioneered in Santiago City, Isabela, Philippines.
Awards & Distinction
He was a Juror's Choice at the 1998 Diwa ng Sining 3rd Biennial Awards of the National Commission for Culture & the Arts (NCCA) and Rotary International District 3810. He was a 4th placer in the 7th Pen Art Competition of the Social Health and Development Endeavors (SHADE). Won the 1st Honorable Mention at the 1993-94 PLDT-GTEDPC Telephone Directory Cover, 7th Visual Art National Competition. Won the 3rd Honorable Mention at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) 381st Year Anniversary 'On-the-Spot' Painting Contest. He was twice among the top 10 finalists at the 12th & 15th (1995/1998) Metrobank Foundation, Inc. Young Painter’s Annual National Painting Competitions.
"As a visual artist, I believe in channeling my creative urges in order to produce a unique piece of art for people to remember, and somehow send message of hope and awareness. My inspiration for my work is the miracle of life, nature and its varied struggles for existence. 'LEELOK' is born out of a combination of education, training and experience, which allows my perspective as an artist to remain traditional yet contemporary and progressive.
